I've added a new "VIEWER PICS" section to the website. If you'd like to share your Egg pics, tweet them to me! You can also email them to be at BigGreenCraig! I'll add them to the page.
Today, we honor all of the brave men and women who have paid the ultimate price for our country. God bless you all. We started the celebration with Bacon Wrapped Onion Rings as an appetizer. I stole this recipe from my friend Joe at MMMGOBLUBBQ. Review: EPIC!!! Then we moved on to baby back ribs. I used Meat Church BBQ's Honey Hog Hot rub. Oh baby... (pun intended) We finished it off with banana & strawberry dessert cones! I hope you enjoyed the holiday!!
Whew, that was a ton of work!! I am adding a Medium sized BGE. I used the same table, but needed to modify it a bit for both to fit. Here are the results! I'm thrilled with the way it turned out! Now I am ready for Memorial Day weekend
The new Egg was delivered today! Thanks to Joan at Jackson Heating & Cooling for taking such great care of me! If you live in the Atlanta/Macon area, you have got to stop by and get an Egg from them! I also started the modification on the table. The Egg shelf was starting to sag so I replaced the bottom supports with 2x6s and reinforced is all the war around. I also cut and laid out the new top (upside down in the pic). Is 9' overkill?! HAHAHA!!!
My table is under construction! It's been a great table, but it needs a little modification. Tomorrow, Big Green Egg dealer Jackson Heating & Cooling will be delivering a new addition! A "nest" should hold all of the eggs, right??
After a trip to Spain last summer, I have been determined to master the art of paella. This has got to be my favorite dish to prepare and cook. This was absolutely delicious!!
I just uploaded the Chicken Roll-Up recipe. Click HERE to see it-
I made these for dinner last night. They were unbelievable. I will post the "how-to" this weened sometime. Last night I did a reverse sear on a 2-1/2 lb tri-tip. Tri-tip has turned into my family's new favorite! I wrapped up a Vidalia onion and some parsley potatoes in some foil and threw them on the Egg since it was hot.
I placed the order for the shirts this morning. The printer estimated 10-14 days to complete the order. I'll get them in the mail as soon as I can. Again, thank you all for the support!! #BGEnation We had a great Mothers Day celebration this weekend! We honored my wife, her mother & my mother. Salmon was requested, so that's what they got! I did my Grilled Oysters, then grilled some salmon and asparagus. All mothers were happy! I love you Mom!
I've been planning to do this for some time now and finally got around to it. This was pretty simple and yield great results! Here is the technique and some pictures of the cook. DRAFT DAY!!! I cannot wait for football to start again!!!
I decided to celebrate Draft Day 2014 with a 21oz rib-eye from my local butcher shop. I applied a kosher salt dry marinade and refrigerated overnight. I rubbed it down with Meat Church BBQ’s Holy Cow rub and ran the Reverse Sear on it. Wow!! It was delicious!! That Holy Cow rub from Meat Church BBQ is unbelievable on steaks! I literally threw out my container of Montreal Steak Seasoning… |
